About Spectrumware
Innovation Your Way
Spectrumware's "Why"
We don’t build software and hand it off. We become part of your team, learning how your business actually works and building tools that fit it exactly. After 30+ years, 93% of clients come back because what we build works. Not because they’re locked in. Because they don’t want to go anywhere else.
We make complex problems simple. Not with off-the-shelf tools that force you to adapt, but with software built from scratch for your workflow.
Our History
Spectrumware started in 1992 — before “custom software” was a buzzword — when Charles Ehresman founded a small consulting firm in Wichita, Kansas. In 1995 we added custom software development to our services, and by 2000 we had narrowed our focus entirely to it. We’ve been doing just that ever since.
Leadership has stayed close to the work. When our founder retired, long-time employee Rick Ehresman took over. When Rick retired in 2023, two more long-time employees — Troy Graber and Jared Friesen — stepped in to lead. That continuity shows up in how we work: we don’t chase new clients at the expense of existing ones. Most of our growth has come from referrals, and some of our client relationships go back more than 20 years.
When you work with us, you’re not getting a vendor who needs to learn your industry. You’re getting a team that probably already knows it
Why We're a Great Partner
Great software is only half of what we deliver. The other half is a team that learns your business, listens before it builds, and stays long after launch. For 30+ years, we’ve partnered with businesses across insurance, manufacturing, logistics, and more. Not by handing off a product and walking away, but by becoming part of the team. It’s an approach that’s earned us something rare: 93% repeat clients in 2 years.
The result is software that fits, and a partnership that lasts.
